"Lets look for a den to stay in, Phantom." She said as she turned her head around to see him. Hey amber eyes were filled with pain as she walked, but no one knew why except herself. She headed along down the stream, and approached a twoleg town. She sniffed around, but didn't smell or see anything so carried on. |

Phantom stared at his mate with confused eyes, but followed loyaly, "Anything in particular you're looking for?" Phantom quirried.

Ruby shrugged, she swung her tail back in forth as she tried to regain her balance after she stood up, then she walked afew paces. "Maybe soming with shelter around, like trees, and rocks around, so prey can be close to us." The femme bright red pelt stood out in the still dark morning darkness, and her white paws where bright with the appearing sun. Her paws braught her to the edge of the forest, and she looked back to Phantom, as if asking which way to go. |

Jaypaw and Kestrelpaw trotted along, side by side, on the other side of a holly bush, hiding them from Ruby and Phantom. As they talked quietly, Jaypaw smelled something. "Rouge." she thought, her eyes narrowing. She silenced her brother with I flick of her tail. His small whisper fell silent to the chirping morning birds. She smelled the air again, signaling ro him to as well. He lifted his nose, and in a quick sniff, her brother nodded, signaling he understood what she had been trying to explain to him without letting Ruby and Phantom hear their voices. Jaypaw slipped into the big holly bush, and peeked through a small opening in it. As usual, her brother followed her. "Attack on my go." she whispered quieter than a mouse. He nodded again, and Jaypaw readied her muscles to leap out of the bush. Kestrelpaw did the same, and in a quick second and Jaypaw's heart missing a beat as she flew through the air, she landed a few mouse-lengths away from the rouges. She had never battled rouges before. Her eyes burned with a fire of detirmination and courage. She threw a quick glance at her brother at her side, who had also leaped. He was shaking. She knew battling wasnt his thing. She rubbed her pelt against his, assuring him. Her body tensed, the fur on her neck and back rising, and her teeth bared, ears back. She hissed, letting the rouges know they were their. Kestrelpaw shadowed her, his fur rising as well, teeth bared, and ears back. But his pose was out of fear, unlike Jaypaw's whos was out of detirmination. She unsheathed her claws, and scraped them down sharply on Phantoms pelt. |

Ruby was surprised that the two apprentices attacked. She hoped over to attack, but then thought of something for a short time, then changed her plan. "Um, im sorry. We'll leave, so we dont have to shed blood." The red female said with a scared tone, her paws started backing up, out of the clan's territory. |

Phantom let out a soft hiss as the apprentices claws raked down his pelt but followed his mate's example and began backing away.

If Jaypaw was suprised of the rouges peace, she didnt show it. She nodded in respect for the older cat, but intended to stay right where she was until she knew for sure the cats were gone. Kestrelpaw got the message and stood bravely by her side.
Kestrelpaw was suprised by the cats offer. As they backed away, he turned around to leave. Then he noticed his sister wasnt going to leave until she was sure they were gone. "I know you can never change Jaypaws mind." He decided to stand next to her. He thought it was a smart idea. |

Ruby nodded gratefully at the two apprentices. She wasn't going to take any chances of ruining her 'surprise' for Phantom, she then looked down at her widening stomach and started walking in the other direction, pulling Phantom along.

Jaypaw, when she was sure the rouges were gone, only then did she turn to leave. "C'mon Kestrelpaw. Lets go get washed up for the gathering." meowed Jaypaw, smoothing down a few hairs with her tounge. Kestrelpaw trotted after her into the brush back toward the camp.
