The orbs implanted in the femme's mask nearly popped out. At fist she felt a bit confused, but then she remembered that he'd always wanted a pure family. She thought about that thought, and it was hard to picture in her mind. Shaking her head from side to side she wiped away the disturbing image.
She took a deep breath, readying herself to speak. But she couldn't control it, What!? She shrieked. Her eyes again bulged, looking bigger than ever before. She took a couple of quick breaths, flicking her tail impatiently.
She thought about it again, and how cruel it was of thier father to do that to Emerald and Sapphire. She remembered yet again how much her father had loved her, and always treated Sapphire and Emerald like outsiders. She remembered her mother. How awsome she was. Was she still alive? Or had she just disappeared?
She shoock her confused head, and focused back on her sister. I can't beleive it! Th- that's crazy! Again she shook her head, taking deep breaths as she did so. Narrowing her eyes, she glanced at her kits, back at Sapphire, and then around the foresty area. She was ready for Phantom to be back, as her comfort zone was lowering.

The ginger one
The fire in her eyes died down as Phantom appeared. The rabbit hanging from his jaws made her stumach growl and she instinctively dropped down into an eating position. She waited for her mate to bring her the food, but instead he stood still the ice seeming to catch fire with the red flame among her own. She blinked slowly, opening her mouith ever so slowly. I love you, too, always and forever.
Lightly taking the rodent, she started into it, nodded to Phantom to have some. Before eating to much, she rolled over on her side, allowing her kits to cuddle around and suckle on her. Glancing up to her sister, she softened her gaze, and looking down to her rabbit. She offered some of it to Sapphire as well, and afterwards wondered if it was smart to offer so much. Leaf-bare was comming, and one rabbit would be tough to share with three different bodies. Especially now that she had kits to feed, she needed all the strength she could get.
Finishing her part of the morsle, she pushed it away, leaving it for the two cats she loved most. Closing her eyes, she slowly drifted off into sleep that she craved for so much. She dreamt of her family, of Gem and Bloodstone, of Emerald. She missed them all so much, and desperately wanted to see them. Too quickly the dream ended, and she was awake again. It was already dawn, the night had passed, and it had felt like only five minutes.
Stretching, she got up onto her paws. Her scarlet optics glared around the setting, Phantom was still asleep, Sapphire as well. She glanced down at her kits, who where also sleeping soundlessly. They would be fine with Sapphire and Phantom a tail-length away from them, it would be ok for her to leave for a short while.
Starting away, she headed towards the stream. The closest water was the stream beside the ShadowClan border. It seemed too far, especially with her kits being so far away from her. But she was thirsty, and it was important for her to stay hidrated.

The ebony one
Being on his own for awhile felt good, it was probably good for Sapphire as well. But now as dawn was reariving, it was time to show up as the new ShadowClan leader. He needed to go the ShadowClan territory, explain to the clan about their leader and then take over.
But before he did any of that, he needed to find Sapphire. Following the most recent scent of hers that her could find, he tracked her down. There was another tom beside her, well, not beside her, but close enough. Worse yet there were three newborn kits in between them. There was the scent of another female, but it was stale, as if she'd left earlier that dawn.
Growling to himself, he stalked forward. Already knowing that Sapphire has been known for multiple mates, he didn't know the names of many of them. This tom looked strange, unlike any brute he'd ever spoken to. He had cream fur, with darker brown fur on his legs, tail tip, and a mask on his face, looking similar to Sapphire herself.
Blackheart could guess why Sapphire would be interested in this tom, but she had to go. Getting the curauge to walk up to her was easy, the harder part was waking her up. Not wanting to awaken the feral or the kits, he prodded her shoulder. When her orbs blinked open and closed he whispered into her ear. Come on, we need to go now. There was a hard edge to his voice, but the whisper was so quiet it was difficult to tell. His black paw nudged her up, and he urged her to wake faster.

[ATTENTION:: most of this is just a flash back. the typing in the black is a flashback (for Ruby's post) and you dont have to read that part if you dont want to. To cut it short (and i mean A LOT shorter, unless you have A LOT of free time) just read the red text] «Blackheart» The ebony one
The purring rising from Sapphire's throat made him feel loved, and almost forgot about the beige tom behind him. He let her shape nestle in with his own, the muscles along his shoulders fidgeting with the moving. Flicking his tongue out, it rasped comfortingly over the femme's ear. But he had to stop, they had to keep moving. Flamestar is dead. He told her, but kept going. ShadowClan will be fretting. If we are going to take over the clan, we need to get a move on, and report to the clan what happened. Nodding to her, he moved away, the muscles returning to normal. His fur stood on end when he spotted the movements of the beige tom. Swinging his head back, he hissed his final 'watch it' and stepped away. Not looking back again, he carried on in the direction to the ShadowClan border. But before going to far, he stopped, worried about Sapphire. If those kits had been hers, which they must have, she would be tired and needing to sleep.
Then a thought struck him. If those kits were hers, then would she want to leave them now? With a tom who looked defenseless and pathetic? He grunted to himself, turning back to look for his mate. His red orbs detected beige fur and a shining blue, but both Sapphire and the brute had had the same colored pelt and eyes.
«Ruby» The ginger one
Ruby, now on her way back to their setting, was tired out but nice and full of water, and had her jaws filled with freshkill. A starling had been caught along with two mice and a vole. This would last them the whole day, which was good with leaf-fall coming.
Her golden orange eyes thought they had caught sight of a movement, but they might have been wrong. Crouching low, orbs narrowed, she stalked forward as if hunting a mouse. Hushed voices were heard from her distance and she spotted a black brute stalking away. Sapphire seemed to be speaking with him, and Ruby wondered who it had been. Phantom looked petrified, but at the same time the stare on his face was a glare as if threatening the intruder.
Taking a deep breath between her catch of prey, she continued on. She was not even a tail length, the ebony feral stalked away, not looking back, and Sapphire stared blankely forword.
Staying hidden, she waited until the intruder was out of sight, and peered into the clearing. Who was that? As she spoke, a small flash back replayed in her head, well, maybe not so small...
.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....
Blackheart and 2 she-cats walked in, accualy 2 walking, one limping."Whitewhisper, some rogues are in need of some medicine-cat work!" As Blackheart approached Whitewhisper, he let Sapphire take the lead so she could explain what happened.
"Um... well a badger attacked us... and well Ruby got hurt the worst. Crow and I---" Sapphire trailed off thinking of Crow. She completely forgot about him until now!!! "How could I forget?!" She said aloud.
Ruby stiffled a laugh,"You forgot Crow at the Twoleg Place!" Then she winced in pain. "Ouch, ouch, ouch."
"Here, let me help." Whitewhisper padded softly over to the ginger tabby. "Here, let me feel it." She slightly touched it, and felt the brake. "Oh! Its broken, this could be bad!" she padded away, then scuffled through her herbs, trying to find the right one. "Look, this is comfrey." she chewed the black roots of the plant and mixed in juniper berries. "Chew this into a poultice." she said to Ruby.
Ruby took the herbs and chewed them as told, "Do you have anything to ease the pain?"
"Oh, yes," she skipped back to her herb pile and brought back 3 poppy seeds on a leaf, she set a few more herbs; lambs ear dock leaves, and cob webs.
As each cat ate a bite of the lambs ears, and swallowed a dock leaf, Whitwhisper padded each scar with a few cob webs.
Ruby licked up the poppy seeds, then before she went to sleep she asked a question to Whitewhisper,"Will we have to stay here?"
Whitewhisper sighed," Im afraid so..."
Sapphire was stunned,"I can't stay here! Crow's waiting, and I can't just leave him!!! I have to go, come on Ruby, try and shift your weight to your other legs." she said as she tried to prod her sister up against her shoulder to help her keep the weight off her broken leg.
Ruby tried to stand up and shift her weight, but she shreiked in pain.
Whitewhisper crawled over to the 2 sisters, "No! Your ginger friend can not leave! She's not well enough!"
"Well then at least let me fetch Crow! I was supposed to meet him! And I can't just leave him! And mark my words we will NOT be here long!" Sapphire said, not in anger, but in scare, worry, and frustration... I don't belong in ThunderClan... I belong with Crow, or maybe I belong in ShadowClan. she thought.
Blackheart on the other hand, was confused. "Who's Crow?"
"He's.......another rogue, well anyway, I need to go find him." Sapphire meowed nervously.
"oh, ok..." Blackheart said suspiciously. Then he turned toward the medicine-cat, and nodded. "I will have to escort you."
"I don't need an escort, I can perfectly manage on my own." Sapphire said sternly.
"But this is our camp and our territory, and also, i need to make sure you don't run off and not come back."
A beautiful tortoiseshell she-cat walked anxiously into the Medicine Cat's den. She had heard the commotion from outside and decided to try and help the situation. She stood beside the rouge called Sapphire and spoke calmly and confidently. "Why don't I take her, I don't have any patrols to go on today." She looked to Blackheart, returning his hard gaze. He may be stronger than her, but she would not let him walk all over her and tell her what to do. He wasn't the deputy. or the leader.
"Yeah, I'll go with her...." Sapphire said not meeting Blackheart's menacing gaze.
Blackheart rolled his eyes,"What ever, just do it quickly!"
Dragonwing nodded her head greatfully to the tom and turned to face Sapphire. "We must be on our way!" she meowed anxiously.
.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....
It faded away just then, had that cat been the black cat named Blackheart? Where Sapphire and his still aquantanced? Her eyes blurred as another vision popped back into her mind, and a tear almost rolled down her face as her memory told her what she new was about to happen. She let herself take it all in, as if she was reliving the scene from almost four seasons ago.
.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....
Crow stalked into the Medicine Cats den with a slight limp, Sapphire at his side. A scowl was plastered to his face, for the smoky tom hated asking for help. Especially form the Clans. Once inside. Crow sat near the entrance to the den, ready to leave when it was time to go.
Crow noticed a large black tom standing by the medicine cat. He too had a scowl on is face. Crow wondered why..
Dragonwing also limped into the den behind Sapphire. "We're here." She announced. The tortoiseshell she-cat looked to Hawk. "We've got another rogue here as well."
whitewhisper hurried over, bringing marigold, cobwebs, horsetail, poppy seeds, and lambs ears. "Here, everyone take a couple poppy seeds and a lambs ear." The tortioseshell she-cat wisped around, adding cobwebs to every bleeding wound. She applied the pulp of the marigold on the worst wounds, and applied horsetail to all.
Sapphire hissed at the medicine cat who she knew was only trying to help, but she retorted anyway, "I don't need any so called herbs. Only a kittypet would sink as low as to accept help from ThunderClan!" she meowed with a fiesty look in her eyes.
Whitewhisper shruged. "Fine with me. If thats what you think, then you just follow along with that." she stayed calm, but inside, under her dappled coat, she boiled with anger that the stubborn she-cat wouldn't take the helpful herbs. Her tortioseshell pelt twitched with annoyance as she rolled her eyes and checked up on the other cats.
Crow gave a low hiss as to agree with Sapphire. The tom knew that he had more scratches than she did, but he could take care of them when he got back to his own home. Ruby was the only one that needed real help.
The smoky grey tom brushed his pelt against Sapphire's as to calm her down. He flicked his tail in annoyance towards the medicine cat, but said nothing.
She ignored the tom, acting as if it never happened. She padded along the side of the den, going around to the other side of it.
Sapphire waited impatiently inside the darkening den. she wanted to get out of this place as soon as possible, but she also knew she must wait until her sister recovered from her injuries, "When will she be well enough to leave?" Sapphire asked whitewhisper bleakly.
"I don't exactly know, it might take a while, but no longer than half a moon." whitewhisper nodded sternly. She continued walking in the opposite direction to check on the other cats.
Crow hissed under her breath and rolled his eyes. He flicked his smoky tail in annoyance once again and stood defensively. His ears were beginning to lie to the back of his head and he flexed his claws into the soft medicine cat den floor. "Well, what can we do while Ruby recovers?" he meowed impatiently.
"Help yourself, but you have to help out too," she didn't sound mad, but not too nice about it either.
The smoky tom flicked his tail and began to walk out of the crowded den. He wrinkled his nose on the way out, his fur finally beginning to lie flat. "Fine then. I'm going to hunt, I'm not sure if I can take these, herb smells, much longer." he snorted. Crow turned his head back for a moment and swept his gaze over Sapphire. "Are you coming?" he meowed uncertainly. It had seemed like the sterling she-cat had been avoiding him ever since they came to the ThunderClan camp.
Sapphire looked over at Ruby doubtfully,"Yeah, sure." She meowed to Crow. "Let's go!" she added trying to be a little more enthusiastic.
.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....
Ruby winced as the sight of Crow and Sapphire racing out of the medicine-cat's den replayed in her mind. She missed Crow, and she wondered where he was now. Her arm must have been barely broken, because it hadn't felt very bad and she'd felt as if she could get up and leave just then.
.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....
Hawk looked at his brother, acually starting to smile. But when Crow said the comment on Sapphire Hawk again frowned at his brother. "Look, I know that she broke your heart, but Crow, honestly, did you ever really love her? Look, you should have known this was going to happen, you knew that I really liked her when we were kits, and then......when you became mates................think of what misery you put me through. And don't think I am trying to get you back. But I feel as if I understand Sapphire.............." Hawk trailed off. He was so confused about his life.
Then one thought hit him. He looked at Sapphire, and, of course, something spiteful had to come out of the horrid thing. " Wait, Sapphire, what about me? You have three other mates already........I don't want to be cheated on..." he trailed off, and as he noticed what exactly he said, his eyes widened and he gulped down a forming fear. He wanted to jump back in time and pull the words back, but they were already formed. And he know he'd regret it.
.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....
The last parahgraph of their conversation had been caught as they had been returning to the camp. Ruby winced, and readied herself for the next scene.
.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....
The red pelt of Ruby was very, still, she just listened to the conversation ripple back and forth. The long paragraphs of Sapphire, then Crow, then Hawk, then back to Sapphire. The fae watched as the cats left the circle, winding in thier own directions. She wondered whether her leg was strong enough for her to walk on it. Ruby's paws rippled as she put her weight on them, she carefully, danced around, being very cautios about her foot and the herbs around her.
She headed over to her sister, purring the whole way there. She leaned against her, trying to comfert her through all this stress. Her red banner twinning her Sapphire's silver. "Everything will work out," she whispered to the silver femme, so quiet no one else could hear. She paused, then spoke, now loud enough for the toms. "I'm ready to leave, and i'm strong enough too." She strained her ears, thinking she heard something.
Sapphire glanced at Crow and then back at Hawk. A penatrating look came through her eyes and her ears shot straight back. Sapphire was mad. "Well then why in the world would you tell me you love me! You knew perfectly well about my mates, and you still told me that! I knew this was too good to be true. I thought that for once in my life I could have a mate for me not just to follow my father's will-"Sapphire's voice began to trail off, she had said way too much in front of teh two toms. Her eyes searched for something lurking in the shadows of her world, a sence of fear and discontemptment shuttered her entire body. She looked from one brother to the other and looked back to the way she had come. She began to turn away and leave, but a voice held her back. She turned to see Hawk standing in front of her, "Hawk, I'm sorry about what I said, but I really need to ....... I really need to talk to talk to you right now."
Ruby waited patiently for the brown tom's reply, as Sapphire's sister, Ruby has seen these sudden outbursts before. So the red she-cat just tryed to calm the silver fae. She brushed her tail along Sapphire's back, along her spine, then her paws. Her long banner hit the ground, then whipped back up again, wrapping around Sapphire's paws. "Sapphire," she started. "Sapphire," She said again. "Calm down, you know this will be bad for your kits." Her ruby red eyes gleamed madly, but calmly at her sister.
"I don't care anymore!" Sapphire spat, "I just don't care!" as Sapphire said these words, a deep sadness welled up inside her. The she-cat's eyes were filled with a luminesant fire that burned with love, sorrow, and hatered all at once. "I just really need to talk to Hawk right now. He's the only one I know can understand me." with these words having been said, she looked at Crow with hostile eyes, she truely did love him more than any of her current mates, but by the way he reacted towards her love for Hawk, he may as well be just another tom mixed-up in the whirlpool known as her life.
Ruby's head dropped, then she headed for the exit. At this point she didn't care what her sister did, she shhowed no respect for anyone now. Everybody, except for Hawk, it seemed like Sapphire hated, and wanted out of her life, then that be it. Ruby's amber paws led her to Crow, "Come on Crow, lets get outta here."
Crow held his tounge but glared back at Hawk and Sapphire. After a while, the ashen tom couldn't take just staring anymore. A deep, furious growl rumbled form deep withing his chest. The tom took a step back, his eyes flashing back in forth between the two who had betrayed him. Eventually, he pulled his orbs away from the pair and looked to Ruby, his eyes growing slightly softer for her benefit. "Come on, we're obviously not wanted here." He hissed through a clenched jaw. The tom wrapped his tail around Ruby's shoulders defensively and stalked off.
Ruby purred at how easilly she'd gotten the headstrong tom to come with her. But as she turned back to her sister and her closest mate, she spat meanly. "If you don't love me any more, then don't ever show your face to me again. And stop butting your own stupid life into mine!!!!!" Without even looking or waiting to see what her sister was going to say, she stormed off, with Crow at her side.
Hawk stared after him, what was going on!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! "Sapphire, I do love you, but there is just one thing I don't understand......Why do you have 5 mates? Why do you have them when you have no love for them? And why do you always push people out when they talk about your past?? Sapphire, you know you can talk to me about anything, right? he asked. Then he looked down, "Is this about your father?"
As the words came out he knew they were true. The look of fear, in those amazing blue eyes that hit them was enough. And so he says, Sapphire, you know, when we were kits and we would sneak out to play, one day I saw your father yelling at you......And I heard something about mates. Then, there was one female there, who looked like Ruby now...was that your mother? He knew this was going to be hard for her....but they were only peices of a gorgeous puzzle of her.
Sapphire looked at Hawk with astonished fear blazing through her every bone. How did the young tom know all this? "I.....I don't know what you're talking about." Sapphire answered with betrayal rippling through her pelt. The she-cat shook her velvety head in regret to what she was about to tell Hawk. "I guess I do know,'' she began as she starred into Hawk's intent eyes. The tom gestured her to go on, so she once again began to speak, "Hawk, my father did trecherous things. He murdered cats for the pure joy of spilling another cat's blood. He made me and Emerald help him kill poor innocent cats while he left Ruby to do as she pleased. He never cared about me. The only good use I was to him was to provide him with more cats for his gang. He made me have various mates at once so that I could have kits who would grow up to kill just as he does." Sapphire flinched just as Hawk did when she said does. Every cat thought her father was dead, but the truth be told, "He's alive Hawk. Bloodstone's out there ripping some cat's throat out and all the while, I've been helping him. I want my kits, I really do, but I..." Sapphire swallowed hard and water began to blurr her eyes, "I have to kill them. I can't keep supplying my father with all these kits. Hawk...I need you now more than I've ever needed any cat before." with that, Sapphire broke into a cry. She couldn't help it, the sorrow was overwhelming. "Hawk, you have to help me!"
Hawk knew it was coming, but it still shocked him to hear it. He hated seeing the love of his life cripple in front of him. "Sapphire, you know I will be there with you every step of the way, but first, we have to solve the puzzle. You have to understand that some things aren't what they seem......like you. Gorgeous on the outside and soft, but on the inside, you are full of adventure and you are so opiniated. You are you. Looks sometimes deseive, Sapphire." He said, looking dead in her eyes.
"Sapphire, why do you think your father kills for pure joy? I mean, why do you think he doesnt make Ruby gets it easy? Wait- what ever happened to your mother?" he asked. He knew it would be hard for her but they were a tiny peice of a mysterious puzzle of her life.
Sapphire flinched at his words,"She was killed," she took a deep breath, "By my father."
"Are you sure? I mean, why would he. Think of the other possibilities, maybe someone else killed her......" then it hit him."Sapphire, I don't think he killed her......" he looked her dead in the eyes. "Does the word 'resembles' mean anything to you?"
Ruby had been sitting outside the medicine-cat's den, it hurt her to leave. She had never spoken those harsh words to Sapphire before. She sighed as she heard her sister retell those oh-so-famous words for the billionth time. A tear ran down her face, she wiped it away with one paw, but it had no use, salty water streamed down her face, she hurried away so Crow nor any other cats would see. But really the reason she left was so she didn't have to listen to the story any longer, she had already suffered enough today.
.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....~.....
That was it. It was the second time this scene had replayed in her mind, and now it felt like three times she had lived it. Tears streamed down her face and she burst into the open clearing. First she dropped the prey she had caught, just right in the center. She had dodged by it and through herself into Phantom, her mask still tearstreaked and wet. You mean the world to me, and don't you forget that, I never want you to forget that! Her voice was a whisper, but it felt as if she had screamed it at her mate. The beige fur beneith her damp pelt was containing the one and only brute she loved, and not even one fox-length away, was the only she-cat she had left to love.
[sorry i made it so long! i really am! its really just the memory, you dont have to read it all if you dont want to!!!]

"Umm....hi.......hmmmm...this is akward......." Phantom stammered, but he thought he caught a glimpse of amusement in the angel cat's eyes. "I'm Phantom," he remarked, "Please tell me you aren't planning to do anything too brutal with me." he said thinking this was a clan cat due to the fact that they were in ThunderClan territory. But hey, he couldn't help it if ThunderClan prey (and she-cats) were so.......irrisistable.
Phantom looked bewildered at Ruby's reaction. What had brought this on? "It's all right Ruby," he soothed, "I love you too." His cerulean eyes became intoxicated by the strenghth of the emotion that carpeted his entire being. He purred fiercely and whisprered, "You are the reason for my existance Ruby. You are the center of my life. You're the air I breath, the pulse of my heart, the love of my life." he finished.
Lift up to the stars and look into the heavens, up there you have no need to strain over endless piercing pain. Pain is the thorn in my pelt, love is the emotion we felt.
Sapphire looked away from the pair. This moment seemed private for them and she never wanted to ruin anything in her sister's life again. Especially the connection she had with Phantom. She waited patiently, but she needed to hurry up and go join Blackheart. The sterling cat's voice sounded sofly careful not to disturb the kits at her belly, "Uh Ruby? I really must go and join Blackheart. I'm grateful that we have solved our...quarrel, but now I need to go. Please...If you see Emerald-" She winced, "tell him I must see him." Sapphire roused carefully and nudged the kits slightly towards her sister. She blinked affectionately at the tiny bodies. "Take care little ones," she whispered and licked each individual kit before stepping back to let Ruby take them. "Good-bye Ruby. I hope I can see you again soon."

«Ruby» The ginger one with golden-red eyes
Ruby's optics, which were filled with salty water, blinked slowly when Phantom spoke. His words were true, and she knew it. She trusted him with all her heart, cross her heart and swear to die. I'm sorry I burst out like that, I was just having random flash backs, I think it was because of that ebony brute who just stormed off. What was his name? Blackheart was it? Her mouth was quivering, shaking and slurring her words.
Sapphire turned to leave, and Ruby automatically faced her. Ruby understood she had to leave with the so called Blackheart, but why so soon!? Hanging her head, Ruby padded over to her forgiven sister, and licked her ear. You be a good sister now and come visit me in awhile. A wide grin crossed her face, and she felt young again. Like when Sapphire, Ruby, and Emerald all lived together with Gem and Bloodstone.
Her paw prodded the resting kits, and wobled clumsily over to their aunt. With cute kitten grins on their faces, they blinked up at Sapphire, their round eyes growing big. They couldn't beleive the sight of Sapphire walking away, and they started to squeal unhappily.
But Ruby's tongue rasped over them, and they quieted, knowing it was a sign that they should stop and it would all be ok. Again they wobbled closer, their heads rubbing along the silver femme's legs because of their shortness. Ruby pulled them away when she felt they'd had enough. Good bye sister, I love you with all my heart. Pass on my hello to Blackheart. Ruby nodded with a smile as her sister trotted away.

[im gonna start a post in the shadowclan camp, ill make lionstar join too. kk?]
Ruby The ginger one with golden-red eyes
The liquid that had been pooling up beneath her golden optics finally flooded. She loved these two cats so much, and never wanted to loose them. She didn't quite know why she was crying; maybe it was because of how loved she felt, or maybe it was the words that had just been spoken to her. Blinking the tears away, her vision cleared. Behind her lay the prey she had just returned with, and quickly she grabbed them.
Her stumach rumbled as the smell of blood wafted up her scent glands. The smell felt good, and she was desperate to start eating. Soon enough, one of the mice was finished, along with another one being worked on. Smiling at the cat she loved, she continued on, offering the squirrel to him.
After the two had finished, she twitched her ears, thinking she had heard something behind her. It sounded like a shriek as if something was in pain. Her orbs wide, she started to it, staying low to the ground, banner unmoving. The dimming light made it difficult to see, but Ruby could clearly make out a snow white pelt, maybe an injured rabbit.
Silently flicking her tail for Phantom to follow, she stalked on. The cry sounded again, high pitched and long. The moaning stopped when the thing spotted them. The circular eyes gave it away, if the eyes hadn;t looked like that, there would have been no way to figure out what the animal was.
It was a kit. Snow white, yet covered in scarlet blood. The blood on the kit's pelt didn't smell only of its own though. The smell of prey lingered on this kit's pelt, and it smelled like a hawk. The kit seemed old enough to speak, but deffinately not old enough to be alone and far away from its mother.
Ruby guessed it wasn't clan born, most clan cats didn't have ivory fur, because of the danger it would put them in. The woods were brown, the shadows were black, the leaves are golden, and the sks are silver. The furs of most clan cats remained those colors. But this kit didn't smell like a rogue, or even a kitty-pet. The confusion must have shown in the ginger femme's eyes, because the kit looked frightened.
Hello little one, what is your name? Is your mother around? The mother-like tone in Ruby's voice was like one she'd never heard before coming out of her own mouth. It was different, but it felt right, especially as Phantom stood not half a tail-length behind her.
The kit must have been in great shock, because she didn't speak. Her mouth every so slightly, but closed immediately. We can't just leave her here! Ruby whispered quietly to Phantom. Her orbs were wide with worry, but she instictively trusted her mate. The look he was giving her trold her everything. Of coarse we can't leave her here, whatever attacked her might come back! But she does have a familly, what if they find us? What if they attacked us, and hurt the kits!? We can't take such a big risk.
Ruby didn't know what to do, but she knew she had to do something, and fast. Sighing, she walked slowly and quietly over to the shivering kit standing in front of her. I'm going to bring you to my den, then we will talk. Ok? Don't worry, I wont hurt you, we'll find your mother, too. Her voice was soft and motherly, but it wasn't so much of a whisper. Although the kit didn't say anything, Ruby thought she detected relaxation in her eyes, and a slight nodded of her head.
Picking the kit up by the scruff, she padded closer to her mate, her pools of sunlight on him the whole time. She nodded to him, telling him to lead the way. The kit was heavy, it deffinately was much older than her own. Ruby just wondered what a kit like thise was doing in the middle of a huge forest, let alone by herself. She was worried for the kit, whatever her name was. She was badly injured, and looked like she needed the magic and herds of a medicine-cat to revive her.
[the kit's name is Pixie]

The kits' trembling bodies surrounded her as an icy wind blew by. She sheilded herself around them, the thick pelt she wore protecting her with warmth. Her orbs lay upon Phantom's, it felt as if she was glaring at him, but only so softly. The white kit was still, as if in shock, but Ruby knew it wasn't.
Sweetie, could you tell me your name? Ruby's motherly tone returned, and her eyes turned to the ivory kitten adjacent to her. The kit's pools were filled with fear, but had a look of safeness in them, at least that Ruby could see.
The kit struggled over to the furry ginger she-cat, her mouth quivering as she attempted to speak. Pi-Pixie. She spoke only one word, afraid of giving too much information, but also because that's all her little body could take.
Pixie. What a sweet name. Ruby smiled, and motioned the kit closer to her. Her orbs stayed on her the whole time, and she was acually surprised to see do so. Ruby cleared her voice. We are going to need a proper den tonight, it'll get cold. At that time, she rose to her feet, nudging the kits' to their's as well.
