His orbs followed the flow of the river, when a grey tom approached them slowly with a hostile glare. He watched from the sidelines as Streampaw reintroduced herself to her former clanmate. Spike felt the need to intoduce himself, so he stepped in. And I'm Spike. I was in BloodClan and as I was out one day I became lost. Somehow I ended up at SkyClan's camp. Streampaw and I met there, we became friends and she told me how much she wanted to return to RiverClan. So I told her I would take her home, told her everything would be ok and turn out fine. He paused, unsure of what he needed to tell this young warrior. I only ask of one favor, but I need to talk to your leader about it. He nodded towards the island in the background, wanting to get to the camp as soon as possible.
He yawned from the tire he felt and soon fell to the ground. He looked up at the two dull RiverClan originals and showed his tire through his yellow orbs. Sighing, he closed his eyes and soon fell into a slow breathing rythm, lulling him to sleep. The sun felt good on his back, even though on his sides the wind blew by, chilling him to the bone. With winter approaching every day, it and its fearful killing spree, the wind was getting chillier and chillier. Soon all the cats in the clans would have thick fur coats, readying themselves for the harsh cold.

Stonefall blinked uncertainly at the black tom. He was from BloodClan, but Streampaw obviously trusted him, so he couldn't be bad. Streampaw's whiskered twitched amusedly as her traveling companion fell asleep on the spot. Nudging him with her nose, she meowed, "Come on, we need to get to the camp first." "I'll lead you to camp," Stonefall meowed. He and the two other warriors started padding down the river, leading the returned clan-cat and her ally to the island. They padded through the water confidently, and Streampaw followed without hesitating. They waded across the narrow strip of water to the island. Cats looked around as the group entered. Some ran forward, greeting the gray tabby she-cat enthusiastically or calmly, asking where she had been, what she had been doing, who the black tom with her was. Soon a crowd had formed as Streampaw tried to answer what questions she could.

[glow=black,2,300]~RISINGSTAR~[/glow] [glow=black,2,300]Risingstar made her way through the mass of warriors that surrounded Streampaw and the black tom. The leader's amber eyes focused on the tom and confusion clouded her gaze. She turned her eyes back to Streampaw, "Welcome back Streampaw," she mewed, "I can see we have much to discuss," she added gesturing with her white ribbon to the tom that stood at the apprentice's side. "You both look like you could use some rest. Let's talk quickly so you can sleep." Risingstar padded towards her den flicking her tail for the two cats to follow her.
Once inside the concealed den, Risingstar turned to face Streampaw and the unknown tom, "You have much to explain Streampaw." Her eyes fixed on the young she-cat, "I'm listening." Her ears pricked in interest for she was curious about the light grey cat's exploits and about the reason for the shadowy tom's presence.[/glow]

Spike
The midnight pelted brute rolled his eyes in disgust at the so-sirious leader. That's why Spike left the forest, although he was not in any of the original clans, he still was not fond of any of the leaders. He also left in search of his mother, who had turned up dead, which Spike is still unknown to Spike. While waiting for the silver RicerClan apprentice's answer, he looked around at the wet and marchy ground in the RiverClan camp.
He would never be able to stand crossing and swimming in rivers every day. A shiver slid down his spine as he realized how much he hated water from his experience as a kit. Well it hadn't exactly been an experience, more of a sight. He had dreamt he was alone, it was midnight and he was in unknown territory. He had been wandering around, and accidently tripped on a large stick rolling around the ground from a small quake. Spike had ended up in the water beside him, and because he was a kit at the time, he was very small. The water was deep, very deep. He sank, desperately trying to find the top of the water which was thick with weeds and algie. Also, as if it could get worse, it was pitch black, both outside and in the water. Spike couldn't see anything, and found himself sufficating underneath the water.
He woke up screaming, for he had too sufficated in real life as if the dream was actually happening. Ever since then, Spike hadn't taking a step near water. He wondered if any RiverClan cats have died from drowning yet. But he had to change the conversation going on in his mind, or else he would probably puke from being sick from memories. He figured he could put in a small coment before Streampaw replied to the RiverClan leader.
We just returned, from SkyClan. He said no more, he didn't know this leader and didn't know what and what wouldn't rip her into anger. Although Streampaw is young and had been away from her clan for a good while, she knew this cat better than Spike did. He would leave the rest for her to say.

Streampaw glanced at her companion, noticing his strange expression, but decided to ask later. "Do you remember Darkheart, the rouge cat the clan found that knew of clan ways? She wanted to go home and get back to her mate. So I offered to journey with her to SkyClan. Cougarpaw followed us, too," Streampaw meowed her voice getting quieter. "Darkheart, her mate, and Cougarpaw were killed by a fox not long after Spike came into the clan," Streampaw stopped. Memories flashed through her mind. Memories of the good times traveling with Darkheart, the joy of finding SkyClan and getting o know the SkyClan cats. But bad memories laced themselves among the good memories. Memories of when she found the torn bodies of Darkheart, Stormeyes, and Cougarpaw. Cougarpaw's whisper that he loved her, leaving her with bittersweet feelings. Streampaw licked her chest to calm herself. She continued with her story. "I stayed with SkyClan for a while, and then Spike encouraged me to come home." She lifted her head bravely and meowed, "So here we are."
[I finally get on and I'm museless! I g2g, I'll try to improve it later. We went to computer lab, so I improved it.] [/color]

[glow=black,2,300]Risingstar's eyes were locked on Streampaw as she told her story. The youg cat had been through alot. And so had her companion it seemed. The leader did not want to torment the two cats especially since they seemed to be in desperate need of rest. She sighed and looked at the cats before her in turn, "I want you both to get some rest and take something to eat from the fresh-kill pile. I have some things to think over before I decide what to do with you." The white she-cat looked away from the cats and looked down at her paws. What was she supposed to do? Streampaw and her friend had obviously not intended anything bad, but Streampaw had worried her clanmates....Risingstar looked up once more and dismissed the pair with a wave of her tail. [/glow]

[Well, be proud of her! One of your clan's apprentices went on a long and dangerous journey to help someone get back to their clan and came back alive. And it's past time she became a warrior and she definitely deserves it now, so make her one afer she rests. Spike is a friend so let him stay for as long as he wants.]

Spike
After dipping his head to the kind ivory fae, he headed out with Streampaw at his side. His head darted around, orbs on the move to place the fresh-kill. A sweet smell wafted up his nose as a patrol walked in with a lot full of prey. Not wanting to be greedy, he walked slowly to the pile the patrol cats were heading.
Spike picked up a plump fish that was still wet and had a trickle of blood climbing down its neck. He slowly walked over to a sandy place in the camp where the sun was shining warmly. The sunbeam hit his side with such strange heat for the end of leaf-fall, he almost gasped. He relaxed after his dark sensative fur became used to the warmth. He hadn't felt warmth like this in about a moon, and it was very relaxing to have this feeling of comfort around him.
He waited for Streampaw to pick her sunhigh meal before he started into it. He wanted to seem nice and behaved for this clan instead of being rude and making a fool of himself. He wondered if anyone would walk up to him and ask him any questions. Spike hoped not, for he really hated it when cats he didn't know did that, plus secretly he was a bit shy.
The fish in front of him was getting cold, so he soon dug in. It felt good to have something warm running down his throat, and he felt like he could stay here and eat all day. Of coarse, he would never do that. That would be rude and uncalled for, and would definately get him kicked out of the clan. That triggered off a bazillion questions in his mind. How long whould he be able to stay? Would he actually return to SkyClan, and work his way home on the long and exausting trip? Or should he relax and return to BloodClan with his family? He felt as if he needed to whimper and cry hiself to slepp, and only wake up ever again if someone told him the answer.

Streampaw dipped her head o her leader gratefully and padded outside with Spike. She picked up a fish and had to force herself to carry it over next to Spike before biting into it. She had not had fish in so long. She missed the unique flavor and even the feeling of impaling the smooth scales with her teeth. The flavor of fish sang in her mouth as she bit into the prey. She ate it hungrily and finished it all too soon. She looked over at Spike; he had finished eating as well. Suddenly a thought struck the she-cat. What would Spike do not? Would he make the long journey back to SkyClan? Would he say here in RiverClan? Or would he leave to someplace Streampaw had never heard of, and never be seen again? The thought of the dark tom making the long, dangerous trek back to SkyClan or leaving and never to be seen was unbareable to the RiverClan apprentice. But would Spike like it here in RiverClan? Questions, ideas, impossible answers whirled through the gray tabby's mind. What will Spike do now?

Spike
After taking a deep and refreshing breath, Spike turned to the grey feline beside him. His eyes were revealed as happy, with a little bit of tire showing, but really he felt exausted and stressed. He didn't know how he would or should live his life, and he didn't like not knowing anything. He was planning to ask Streampaw what he should do, but if it was up to her, would she make him return to SkyClan?
Well, he made that sound too harsh, or more of a bad thing. When really he wouldn't have cared much if he returned to his clan he was currently loyal to. What he really meant to sound like was, 'Does Streampaw even care about me? Does she really care if I chose to stay in the forest, even left in her own clan?' Spike sighed, and decided he should ask Streampaw later, when he was in less a timid mood.
He started to turn away from his latest love, but a hesitant expression spread across his mask. Streampaw, we need to talk. He turned back to face her, his orbs blank and lifeless. What am I supposed to do? About where I'm supposed to live, I mean...

Streampaw felt like she had fallen under the waterfall. Emotions washed over her, pounding her so that she could almost feel herself being pushed under, the breath in her lungs being replaced. "I-I..." she began, but the apprentice didn't know what to say. Then it hit her. Realization hit her like a blast of air after nearly drowning. She surfaced from the flood of emotions and thoughts, everything suddenly clearer, though not completely un-muddled. "I don't know," Streampaw confessed. "What you should do... it's not up to me, either way." She continued. "But no matter what you do - stay here in RiverClan, return to SkyClan, or just leave - I will go with you." Streampaw looked at Spike, her eyes shining with affection. I know now. I love you, Spike. the gray tabby thought. Wind blew around the two cats, ruffling their fur. Green orbs stared into yellow.

"I don't know, what you should do... it's not up to me, either way. But no matter what you do - stay here in RiverClan, return to SkyClan, or just leave - I will go with you." The small, two sentance speech was enought to get Spike on the ground weeping in happiness, but instead he held strong. He had no idea that this she-cat actually cared enough about him to go anywhere with him. He couldnt help but stiffle forward and give Streampaw the rub she deserved, he just didnt know how she would take it.
His tongue flickered out and smoothed down the fur around Streampaw's neck. Don't be silly, love. You don't need to follow me anywhere.... His orbs were filled with happiness, caused by her voice, but full of sorrow for his own voice. He felt the need to rub against the senior apprentice, felt the need to be the one to give her a bath everyday, and the need to produce her kits. His orbs fell to the ground, but his body moved closer to hers. His tail intertwined with her own, and one of his forpaws lay on her chest. He rubbed up against her, His eyes still low, almost closed, as his tongue flitted out again her fur. He breathed in her sweet RiverClan and SkyClan mixed scent, and couldnt stop himself but pushing further and further in. It was as if it was a drug to him, his own personal brand of heroin.

Streampaw looked at Spike lovingly. "I know I don't have to, but I will," she meowed. She nudged him slightly, purring, rubbing her head under his chin. They stayed like for a moment, wrapped in happiness. But then the gray tabby she-cat pulled back and looked at Spike seriously. "So, what are we going to do? Where will we go?" the apprentice asked. Worry shown in green orbs as the thoughts sunk into her mind.
[Muse = none Dx Sorry for the crappy post after making you wait for so long >.<]

His heart beat quickened, his eyes widened, and his banner flickered strangely. He didn't know what to do. If Streampaw hadn't spoken those words, hadn't looked at him that way, hadn't loved him. Then, he would've returned to SkyClan, where his first love's cold bodice lay under the ground. But he had almost forgotten about Bella, and he would have to completely forget about her; because now he had her, now he had Streampaw. His golden orbs closed, and his body relaxed while he snuggled closer to her new love.
I would like to check something. He didn't wait for her to agree, for two reasons. He knew she would just agree anyway, but more of that he was anxious to get to the checking. He had to meet up with his brothers, he hadn't seem them in over 6 moons, and he had to make sure they were ok. His paw lay down his first step, starting the beginning of the long journey towards the BloodClan territory. Would his siblings still be there? Would they remember who he is? What if they were mean to him? Of coarse he would leave, of coarse he would have to keep Streampaw out of danger, thats his job.
His paws were shaking, but not from excitement, more for what might happen. He was worried he wouldn't be accpeted, wouldn't be aloud to visit his family. His family. Heartache struck him harshly, and he immediately collapsed on the ground, writhing in silent pain. What had happened to his mother that aweful night she didn't return? Has she returned? Or is she gone forever? Was she even still alive? He closed his eyes as flashbacks sped through, and he reviewed her ebony body, ditto to his own, but instead replaced with the prettiest violet-blue eyes. That's how he had come upon Streampaw, he remembered. He had been out searching for his long lost mother, and instead wondered far off into the city. He had traveled far, and had almost forgotten what his quest was about when he met Bella. Bella. More heartache. How could he have just replaced her like that? Does she still love him? Or is she happy that he's moved on. Confusion clouded his eyes, but his body's convulsions ended. He lay silent on the ground for a few moments, Streampaw never speaking a word the whole time; what a good girl she was.
The storm disapeared, clearing his site and enabling him to return to his feet once more. But the heartache stayed. It would stay until he new his mother was ok, or at least at peace. It would stay until he new Bella was ok with his new love. He turned to face the too silent fae beside him. He couldn't place the emotion showing oh-so-clearly through her bright navy eyes. He opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out, he couldn't even mouth the words out. He was speechless. could he not say the words? Or did he just not know what to say? Why were there so many questions in life?
Word Count;; 515 Muse;; slightly above average Comments;; Poor Spikey! I feel so bad for him!

Streampaw watched as Spike turned, took a few steps, and fell to the ground. She took an anxious step forward, but no further as her new love writhed in the dirt. Then he stopped, and green orbs were trained on ebony as he continued. Streampaw was frozen to her spot as he walked away, like one of the plants that were only just now starting to melt. Then she snapped out of her frozen state, stumbling forward with the suddenness. She leaped forward until she was next to Spike. She had said she would follow him, and she would. Besides, judging from his seisure of just heartbeats earlier, he may need her. And the apprentice was not going to be deterred from her decided mission.
[We got snow here!! It lasted about 2 days and now it's almost completely melted. T-T Muse = little. Sorry]
