Ravenfeather's First Kits

Riverkit shifted in his sleep and cracked an eye open. At first he thought it was Stripedkit but then he saw his tabby brother standing next the cat. Riverkit sprang to his paws.

"Momma!" Riverkit yowled.

Ravenfeather's bright eye snapped open and caught sight of Nightshadow. The onyx fae leapt to her paws, bristling and unsheathing her claws. With a sweep of her tail the black queen gathered her drowsy kits and snatched Stripedkit.

"What are you doing here?" Ravenfeather snarled.

[glow=darkblue,10,1000]"Didn't think I'd ever get to see YOU again!" He joked, he lowered his head when he saw that she was not even pvlaying madly around with him. "Yeah... I found him on our territory, I thought I should tell you about it," As he looked into her beautiful lush forest eyes, HE regretted leaving her, and falling for the trick Blackrose layed for him. "If you want me out I'll leave," then before Ravenfeather or anyone could say anything he said sadly, "You know what, I already can hear your voice telling me what to do, so don't bother..." The tiger warrior's normally icy eyes faded into a deep ocean aqua as he padded slowly, once again, out of camp...[/glow]

[~*Ravenfeather*~]

Ravenfeather ushered her kits away from Nightshadow then followed the tiger-striped tom, catching him just as he left the camp. "Hold on, do you honestly think I'm going to let you off that easy" Ravenfeather said in an even tone, stepping in front of Nightshadow, almost nose to nose with him.

"I want to do some....catching up. How's your mate?" Ravenfeather asked, her voice dripping with venom when she spoke the last word.

[glow=lightblue,10,1000]"Horrible, but what does it mean to you anyway?" His voice sounded like a cat getting hit by a monster. "Everything's worse sence I left, for me at least," he flashed a glare at the slate cat next to him, then started moving his paws once again.[/glow]

[~*Ravenfeather*~]

Ravenfeather however blocked his path again, locking him with her vivid gaze. "Well we all make poor decisions" she said icily. "You made yours and now you have to live with it. I made a poor choice and I'm moving on. Come near my kits again and I'll claw your eyes out."

Ravenfeather turned and padded slowly back toward the nursery, half hoping Nightshadow would call her back. To be honest she missed him. He'd been good company and she had loved him but then he'd gone an betrayed her. She couldn't forgive that.

[glow=lightblue,10,1000]He looked back at Ravenfeather, hoping she would look back, he was about to call out to her, when he realized she would just get mad. His paws trembled, then he stood in place, frozen to the spot. Then he zoomed back to the she-cat he had always loved, not caring what she did or said. "Oh, Ravenfeather! I miss you so much! My mate right now is horible! All she wants is to have kits to make her clan stronger! She doesn't even care about me or the kits, I don't even know how I could've fallen for her trick."[/glow]

Ravenfeather looked at Nightshadow with a saddened expression. "I'd love to take you back Nightshadow but I don't know if I can. Especially if it means Bloodrose will be stalking around trying to find you. My kits don't trust you, the clan doesn't trust you. How can I trust you?"

[glow=lightblue,10,1000]"Come on, I've been gone for 4 days, how bad could it be? I mean some of the cats don't even know i'm gone! And the kits will learn, if they see that you can trust me, then they will see that they can too. And if they don't then there's nothing I can do about it, same with the rest of the clan!"[/glow]

[~*Ravenfeather*~]

Ravenfeather sat back on her hunches, curling her tail over her paws. The onyx fae stared at Nightshadow as if trying to burn a hole into his mind with her vivid leaf-colored eyes. "Nightshadow. You've made your choice Nightshadow. You can't keep changing clans and besides, BloodClan cats may come after you. It would endanger my kits. I wish I could help but this looks like a choice you have to live with. Stripedkit already has a very firm opinion of you and I must say, Riverkit isn't fond of you either. I'm not sure about Shadowkit and Cloudedkit. I currently don't even know where one of my kits are."

The onyx queen flicked her tail lightly against the ground. "Come back if you want but you won't be my mate again until you can prove you're loyal."

Ravenfeather got to her paws and started walking slowly back toward camp.

[glow=lightblue,10,1000]Nightshadow let out a low moan, then walked off, but not in the direction of BloodClan, the direction of the forest. He was going to prove himself loyal no madder what he had to do.[/glow]

Ravenfeather padded back into camp and headed straight for the nursery. Once she reached the den the ebony she-cat padded over to her kits and flopped down on her nest. Cloudedkit, Riverkit, Stripedkit and Shadowkit all curled up around their mother.

"Don't worry about him anymore" Ravenfeather meowed, touching each kit with her muzzle. "You have some explaining to do later" she added to Stripedkit.

The bangle kit gulped and actually shrank away a little bit from his mother's sharp gaze but no one would have noticed.

[Silverstripe]

Graywing padded quietly back ito camp.He carried Spottedkit in his jaws. The sweet little kit got her self tired out on her journey form WindClan to home and wanted to sleep in the forest for tonight. Graywing, of course, and other intentions and had picked the kit up on his walk back to ThunderClan. The gray tom felt relieved when the she kitten told him she trusted him which is more than he could could say for Stripedkit.

The moon shone beautifully in the inky sky casting silvery shadows over the forest. Graywing trotted into the nursery and placed the kitten next to her mother ever so silently and then left.

[~*Ravenfeather*~]

The scent of a tom drew Ravenfeather out of her peaceful sleep. Something burrowed in between two of her kits causing the black she-cat to open on eye. She saw the shadow of a cat leaving but thought it might be Nightshadow but this cat was bulkier, heavier built then her 'mate'. Ravenfeather raised her head and looked down at her kit. Green eyes widdened when she caught sight of Spottedkit's tortiseshell fur nestled between Cloudedkit and Riverkit.

Ravenfeather almost yowled in surprise and joy but remembered that her kits were still sleeping.

Very carefully Ravenfeather rose from her nest and padded out of the nursery. She glanced around and glimpsed movement at the camp entrance. This one she was sure was Nightshadow.

Ravenfeather padded over toward her mate, touching his shoulder with her nose to get his attention.

[glow=lightblue,10,1000]Since the wind was blowing oppisite direction, the tiger striped tom didn't smell the she-cat coming over, but by the time she was a tail-length away, he felt it in the ground. He turned around right as she layed her nose apon him. "Hey, I caught you some things, I thought it could help you for your stress." He said it with no enery and life. He nudged a rare bright red bird toward her, along with a squirrel with flap-like things from its front paws to its hindlegs.[/glow]

[~*Ravenfeather*~]

Ravenfeather purred. "Thanks Nightshadow" Ravenfeather meowed. "Come here" Ravenfeather said, flicking her tail for him to follow.

The midnight-shaded fae led Nightshadow toward the nursery where her kits were sleeping. "Greywing brought back Spottedkit" Ravenfeather meowed quietly, flicking her tail toward her only daughter. "The grey kit is Cloudedkit. The larger black kit is Shadowkit and the smallest one is Riverkit. I think you've met Stripedkit" Ravenfeather said with a hint of amusement in her voice.
