A Hunt Before Meal-time

[glow=lightblue,10,1000]The tiger striped tom made his way by whisping around trees and jumping over logs. He soon arrived at Tallpines. Nightshadow opened his mouth, letting all the scents go into his scent glands. "Mouse and squirrel on the left..." he sniffed some more, "Vole by the stream, bird behind the tree," he whispered to himself.

He trotted over to the stream, then started to crawl toward the vole. The tiger cat stalked forward, as he approached the brown rodent, he saw it's head flash up. Nightshadow froze, once the vole's head went down once again, did he move. Once close enough, he wiggled his rump and detected which way the wind was blowing. Finally, with his paws tingling hopefully, he jumped, landing square on the rodent.

He burried his catch, then started toward the tree, hoping the robin didn't hear his pounce. The grey bird hopped around, picking seeds from the near by tree. Quickly but softly, he trotted to the bird. When he arrived, the bird still had no idea he was here, so the tom crept forward. As he accessed the robin, he smelled another cat coming. He shook his head to clear his thoughts and all the smells. Its probably a patrol out hunting! he said to himself. But then he carried on with his hunt. He crouched under a bush, but then he heard a noise behind him. Whatever animal was behind him, it was making alot of noise. So the birds wings fluttered and it took off."You mouse-brained fool! You scared away the--" he stopped yelling his head off as he saw a beautiful ebony queen step out form behind, waving her tail sweetly and fluttering her eyes. [/glow]

[glow=darkgreen,10,1000]"My bad, pretty boy," she grinned then paraded around him like a butterfly.[/glow]

[glow=lightblue,10,1000]"Who are you and what are you doing in ThunderClan territory?" the tiger cat, shook his head, clearing the picture of the dazzling and admirable feeme. He then un wraped himself, and looked at the coquette's foliate optics.[/glow]

[glow=darkgreen,10,1000]"My name is Blackrose, and I am from BloodClan," the feminine asserted calmly.[/glow]

[glow=lightblue,10,1000]"BloodClan!" Nightshadow couldn't beleive what he was hearing. He thought that a nasty, mean BloodClan queen was bueatiful and charming. But how could he fall in love with Blackrose if Ravenfeather was already his mate!?[/glow]

[glow=darkgreen,10,1000]"Look, I have 5 kits to take care of, and we are short of prey, would you mind helping us?" she looked at the tiger warrior with fake love in her eyes and stars twinkling inside of them. She blinked her orbs twice, slowly but beautifully.[/glow]

[glow=lightblue,10,1000]Right when the brute was about to yowl and scream at the she-cat, he suddenly realized, Would Ravenfeather know that I would be cheating on her? Probably not! he smiled. "Of coarse I will," he swished hit tail along the she-cat's flank, hoping it would feel good on her still swollen stomach. "Are more kits coming?"[/glow]

[glow=darkgreen,10,1000]Blackrose smiled back."Thank you, and no, I'm not planing on having any more kits. For now--" she winked at him then swirled about, spinning and enjoying the mid-dusk sun and moon combination.[/glow]

[glow=lightblue,10,1000]Nightshadow's smirk turned into a giant grin. "But, how often will I see you?" his smile faded away as he thought of how often he would see his new love.[/glow]

[glow=darkgreen,10,1000]"Well, you know, we could never have too many warriors..." she rolled her eyes sweetly.[/glow]

[glow=lightblue,10,1000]"I'll think about it... But right now, I've got to get back to camp, its meal-time!" he raced over to the bushes real quick, flashed a paw under, sending a couple of mice flying out, along with a rabbit dashing out the other side. The tiger warrior galloped over to the rabbit, hitting strait in the back of the neck, sending it wailing and falling to the ground. On the way back over to the other bushes, he spotted the 2 squirming mice. He walked patiently over to the rodents, then slapped each of them a couple of times to finish them off. He tossed the rabbit and one of the mice to the beautiful she-cat beside him. Then took the remaining mouse and the vole he had caught a little earlier and trotted in the direction of camp. "Hey, I'll be at your camp at mid-dawn with prey! Be ready for me!" he nodded, then seeing the femme's nodded, he started back, happy that the conversation was over.[/glow]

[~*Ravenfeather*~]

Ravenfeather had been heading toward Tallpines to talk to Nightshadow about a very important matter. Her green eyes gleamed brightly with joy and her tail tip was flicking excitedly. Even the slight limp in her walk wasn't bothering her now. That was, until she reached the Tallpines and heard Nightshadow with Blackrose.

The onyx she-cat was trembling from head to tail by the time Bloodrose was leaving. Her eyes were darkened and cloudy now and she could bearly choke back a sob.

Ravenfeather turned tail and ran. She knew she was causing a lot of noise. She knew Nightshadow would hear her. If he even came within ten feet of her, she'd kill him. Ravenfeather swore she'd skin him alive. Fury pumped through her veins like wildfire and rage burned her belly. Pure, unbridled anger raged inside of her. How stupid she'd been to open her heart to such a mouse-brained tom.

Ravenfeather didn't stop running until her bad leg simply gave out and she fell limply in the middle of the path, breathing hard and fuming. She felt like she had had her heart torn out of her chest. Claws dug into the ground.

"I can't beleive I was so stupid" Ravenfeather hissed. "I'm nothing more then another she-cat to him. I won't let him come near my kits, never. I'll skin him alive if I ever see his ugly face again."

The onyx she-cat thought through the names she had chosen, Riverkit, Mosskit and Tabbykit for now. They were the only names she'd chosen. A soft sob escaped the newly-made queen. She had been pregnant the whole time she had been recovering from the thunderpath. Nightshadow had actually acted like he cared. He didn't. She knew that now.

Lost in thoughts and hate, Ravenfeather didn't notice someone, Nightshadow, approaching.

[glow=lightblue,10,1000]The tiger striped tom padded in the direction of the noise, he could smell thunderclan and milk, but nothing else. "Who's there?" he asked protectedly. He was on his way back to camp from BloodClan's camp, he had just dropped off the prey he had caught.[/glow]

[~*Ravenfeather*~]

Ravenfeather heard Nightshadow's voice and growled low in her throat. "Who do you think?" she snarled, unsheathing her claws. "Get out of here Nightshadow before I run you off myself. ThunderClan doesn't need cats like you."

The onyx she-cat braced herself to leap on Nightshadow. Her eyes were flashing with anger, tinted with sorrow that she'd been foolish enough to choose an unfaithful mate.

[Runningtail]

Dragonwing bounded swiftly through the undergrowth, dodging trees and nasty thorn bushes. Her tortoiseshell pelt blended in well with the low growing brambles and bracken thickets. Her ears were swiveling constantly on top of her head. After a few minutes of brisk running, Dragonwing slowed to a trot.

She soon halted as playful and flirt-y lyrics rang through the forest. The warrior recognized one voice, a voice which belonged to Nightshadow, a fellow ThunderClan warrior. The other voice sounded sinister, yet beautiful. The tri-colored she-cat could not pick out who the other cat was, but by scent, she knew the stranger was female and a BloodClan cat.

Dragonwing dropped low to the ground, eager to find out why Nightshadow would not chase the she-cat off. Just then, the paw steps and scent of another she-cat billowed through the atmosphere. Dragonwing let out a small sigh of relief as she relied it was just Ravenfeather, another fellow warrior.

Just as the inky she-cat arrived, the outsider bounded off into the shadows. Ravenfeather seemed angry, as her paw steps were heavy with emotion. Dragonwing slowly slipped from the shadows, watching the story unfold.

"Fine! I will leave! I'll go to BloodClan! They'll welcome me!" The tiger striped brute padded away not looking back at the beautiful onyx femme. "You shall never see me again, I hope you know that," he growled slowly and deeply in the darkness. Then he turned away again as if not needing an answer.

His banner whipped the she-cat's face, right on the nose. "You will regret this, Ravenfeather!" Then his paws started to move an he padded off, and soon it turned into a canter.[/glow]

[~*Ravenfeather*~]

A deep growl rumbled in Ravenfeather's throat. She bounded after Nightshadow and managed to rake her claws on his flank. Leaping back she glared at him.

"I'll regret this? Stay away from me and the kits that sadly carry your tainted blood" Ravenfeather spat furiously. "Go on and run off to that pack of murderers. If this is what you're really like, I'm sorry I ever met you!"

The onyx fae was furious. Her tail was lashing and her eyes flashed furiously. Even her bad leg was forgotten.

"I get injured and leave for a while and find you running with some cat pretending to care about you. Your not faithful to anyone. How long will she last before you get bored with her? I should have seen it coming. Toms like you are never worth even spitting at."

[glow=lightblue,10,1000]Nightshadow didn't even yowl in pain as the femme clawed him. He just kept on walking toward the bloodclan camp.

he rubbed against a tree, a tree still on thunderclan territory. he sprayed it then left. "the whole of thunderclan will regret this." he smirked then laughed softly to himself. Then, as he did before, continued walking.[/glow]
